The RxScan® Verify and Count Scale gives you the ability to pour your medication into a boat on the scale and have the unit display the count of tablets or capsules.

You simply use our Pour & Count scale in conjunction with the RxScan Plus® Prescription Verifier. As soon as you scan the manufacturer's bottle bar code, the scanner looks up the weight of the tablet or capsule in its internal database, and sends that weight into the scale. The scale uses that weight information to calculate the count.

We currently have an NDC database of over 22,000 of the most common prescription drugs in the Verifier. Almost 4600 of these NDC numbers, representing about 1400 individual drugs, already have their weights listed. These cover 80-90% of the drugs used in an average pharmacy on a daily basis. However, for the drugs that do not have weights or are not currently in our database, you are not left high and dry. We have included a mechanism that allows you to record weights of drugs not in our drug weight list. When you have to add a weight, a quick three-step process adds it to the database in a matter of seconds. Once added, it will be available the next time you need to dispense the same drug.
