The RxScan Plus Prescription Verifier is used to verify that the patient bottle is being filled with the correct medication. If all you want is accuracy in terms of dispensed medication, this is the option for you. It is a simple and straightforward method of ensuring accuracy and reducing prescription dispensing errors. The whole process is prompt-driven. Following these prompts, you scan the bar code on the patient Rx label, and then the bar code on the manufacturer's bottle. The RxScan Plus Perscription Verifier matches them to determine if they represent the same medication or not. If it detects a wrong medication, the scanner immediately alerts you to the fact using visual and audible cues.

This eliminates laborious manual visual matching of the name and strength of the prescribed medication to the manufacturer's bottle. If the two codes match, the scanner immediately notifies the operator and then resets itself for another scan. This feature allows you to use it in high volume applications where time is critical.

The RxScan Plus Auditor. You need something more than just dispensing accuracy. As a multi-store chain, you may wish to be able to track the dispensed prescriptions, perhaps even capture the operator identification, date and time of verification, a transaction number etc. for statistical analysis to identify areas with room for improvement. Your answer is the Auditor option. In addition to verifying that the patient bottle is being filled with the correct medication, it captures the following information for download into a Windows PC for analysis.

• Transaction / Rx number
• Patient Label NDC number
• Drug Manufactures container NDC#
• Operators ID (Barcode)
• Operators personal password (selectable as to if this needs to be entered)
• Time and date of Verification
• Whether Verification was a match or error and if so, the type of error

The RxScan Plus RoboCheck. Used to verify the correct filling of robotic filling machines, and blister cards. You have the machines, but your accuracy is still limited by how carefully the machine is loaded. You can use RoboCheck to instantly verify that the medication is going to its intended slot. Or perhaps you are creating blister packs or Unit doses. You need to make sure the blister packs and Unit doses get filled with the correct medication. You also need to do this without slowing things down. Once again RoboCheck can come to your assistance and provide quick assurance they are being filled properly.

The RxScan Plus Inventory option is used to inventory prescription medications by scanning the manufacturers NDC number bar code. The operator need only enter the quantity. This information can be downloaded immediately or at a later date to our inventory analysis software for pricing, sorting and printing of inventory reports.

The RxScan Verify & Count option can be used to quickly count dispensed medication. The operator need only scan the drugs NDC bar code. The RxScan Plus scanner connects to the Pour & Count scale and when an NDC bar code is scanned, it sends the average piece weight of that NDC number to the scale. The scale then uses it to count the drug as it is poured onto the scale.
