The RxScan Plus Prescription Verifier gives you the comfort of knowing that the product in the patient vial agrees with the stock bottle from which it was dispensed. When catching an error, the scanner will visually and audible alert you.

The RxScan Plus Prescription Verifier was designed with the goal of eliminating dispensing errors caused by filling the Rx bottle with the wrong strength, dosage form or totally incorrect medication. It will scan the NDC number bar code on the patient label or receipt, next scan the manufacturers NDC bar code and using a complex algorithm match the scanned NDC number bar codes. It will then visually and audibly alert you as to whether the NDC number bar codes matched or not.

The RxScan Plus Prescription Verifier is a battery operated, handheld, portable computer with a built in laser bar code scanner. It is not tied to any other computer and with its self-contained programming, can be carried and used at any location during the Rx filling and verifying process.

The RxScan Plus Prescription Verifier comes with 8Mb of memory and is powered by two standard "AA" batteries which deliver up to 120 hours of operation, depending on usage.
