RxScan® is the home of the NDC Smart^TM line of bar code scanners. These scanners include the patented Instant NDC^TM technology.

NDC Smart scanners are used in situations where there is a need to have the scanner output a complete 11-digit NDC number after scanning a manufacturer bar code.
 
What does Instant NDC mean?

Instant NDC technology is a patented process that enables bar code scanners to internally translate the drug manufacturers NDC bar code into the complete 11-digit NDC number used by most computer systems today. Thus the NDC Smart line of bar code scanners "instantly" generate the 11-digit NDC number.
